Frequently asked questions

I've never done a retreat before. Is this right for me?

Absolutely. Our work is designed for conscious high achievers regardless of previous retreat experience. We create a safe, nurturing space for both newcomers and experienced practitioners.

What if I'm travelling alone?

Most participants come solo. The intimate group size naturally creates connection, and many leave with lifelong friendships.

Can I bring a friend or partner?

Yes, often friends and partners are called to participate together and are welcome. Both guests must participate in the full retreat program. We can provide prices based on shared rooms.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Most visitors can obtain a 30-day tourist visa on arrival. Please check the current requirements for your nationality before booking. We will provide guidance, however obtaining a Visa is your responsibility.

How do I get to the retreat venue?

We will provide recommended flights to Denpasar, however, a private car will meet you at the airport at your arrival time to bring you to Ubud (approx 60-90 minute drive) so you are free to fly with an airline of your choice.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

All meals provided in the program are vegetarian. Vegan options can be provided. Please notify us when booking. Cuisine blends Balinese contemporary, Indonesian, Asian, and Western cuisine. Three daily meals and afternoon tea are included.

What should I bring to Bali?

Comfortable clothing for meditation and movement, light layers for evening, swimwear, journal are 'essentials'. We'll send a detailed suggestions packing list upon booking confirmation.

Is there physical activity involved?

All practices are adaptable to comfort levels, but reach out if you have any questions. The week will involve some yoga, breathwork, bodywork and getting out in nature.

What's your payment and cancellation policy?

We understand that life can be unpredictable and aim to be as flexible as possible while honouring our commitments.

Payment Terms: 

• 25% deposit required within one week of booking

• Full payment required two months before retreat start date

Payment Plans Available: 

• 2-part or 4-part payment plans available at no additional cost

Please Note:

• Credit card processing fees may apply depending on card type for all payments

Refund Schedule: 

• Deposits: Non-refundable, however, up to 100% of your deposit can be transferred to another Hema Vyas program within 12 months

• Full refunds: Available for cancellations made two months or more in advance (minus deposit)

• Partial attendance: No credits or refunds for arriving late, leaving early, or missed treatments

• Our guarantee: Full refund if Hema Vyas needs to cancel for any reason
