I wrote most of my book in the Borders café in Central London over 20 years ago, I've only recently felt ready to complete it. I believe that everyone has a silent heartache, if only for a more connected, equitable and cohesive world and that it’s time to address it.

Borders was a lovely and friendly "third space" outside of home and work where I spent many evenings writing. Even as I excelled in my role as a consultant, I felt a persistent inner misalignment, sensing that my path did not align with my true purpose.

I began writing about the heart's deeper intelligence, the silent heartache we can push aside amid daily accomplishments, the significance of healing heartbreak (personal, professional and collective), how the heart can allow us to evolve beyond our previous realm of potential and the true nature of love that unites us all.

I described the heart as an unsung hero — an invisible power that directs us towards the tangible realisation of our deepest desires.

What was the result? I began to organically draw clients from all over who wanted to join me on a healing and learning journey that ran deeper than aspiration.

This was a life-changing experience, as I had been taught at university that "you can't talk about the heart" and was challenged in business settings about the relevance of the heart and “soft skills”.

I opened a thriving practice, which was both a privilege and a pleasure. My book was crucial to this; it opened up possibilities for me to put my knowledge into practice; unfortunately, I put it on hold and did not finish the manuscript. So it means a lot to be putting the wheels back in motion.

As the saying goes, the path to authentic love is rarely straightforward and I believe this is also true on a path of purpose.

Many aware, creative and heart-centred leaders in this community understand that the path of life is about cultivating trust that the right things will happen at the right time.
